"Frank Sinatra F#@ked Up My Life:Confessions of a Romance Addict" is John Ciccolini’s first play, and he was nominated for the LA Weekly Award for Outstanding Solo Performance. Past theatre credits include The Catskill Sonata directed by Paul Mazursky, the premiere production of Rockne: The Musical, Fluffy Bunnies In A Field of Daisies, the Los Angeles premiere of Avenue X (for which he received a Dramalogue Award), And The Beat Goes On: The Sonny & Cher Story, and Death of a Salesman. John’s television guest appearances include Dexter, Dirty Sexy Money, Las Vegas, ER, Viva Laughlin, While the Children Sleep, Everybody Hates Chris, Veronica Mars, Joey, Becker, Boston Public, Live From Baghdad, The Division, N.Y.P.D. Blue and Push, Nevada.
MICHAEL CICCOLINI - Co-Writer
A graduate of USC School Of Cinema-Television's Writing Program, Michael Ciccolini's two short films, "Slappy: The 13th Apostle" and "Grandma's Tale" were prizewinners at the 2001 Aspen Comedy Festival. He served as Head Writer and performer for Fred Willard's sketch-comedy troupe, "The NoHos", and appears in a starring role in Universal's "Beethoven's 3rd". He is the narrator of novelist Scott Heim's classic "Mysterious Skin"'s audio recording and created and co-stars in the upcoming sitcom pilot, "Thespian". He currently resides in Los Angeles.
GARY BLUMSACK - Director/Producer
GARY BLUMSACK has become one the most prolific and influential theatre producers in Los Angeles over the last 20 years. In the 1970’s he created the NATIONAL THEATRE FOR CHILDREN in Boston, supported by Harvard University. In the 1980’s, Gary ran the BURBANK THEATRE GUILD, where he produced, acted and directed in dozens of productions, including the Los Angeles Premiere of Frederick Knott’s thriller, WAIT UNTIL DARK, the powerful NAMES and the controversial GATE 11. In the early 1990’s Gary created the HUDSON MAINSTAGE, HUDSON BACKSTAGE, HUDSON AVENUE and HUDSON GUILD THEATRES in Hollywood where he produced such critically acclaimed plays as SOWETOS BURNING, HELL’S KITCHEN ABLAZE and THE SURVIVOR. Gary went on to produce GRANDMA SYLVIA’S FUNERAL which moved to the off-Broadway Soho Playhouse, where it ran for 6 years. In the late 1990’s Gary opened THE LILLIAN, a four theatre venue in Hollywood, where he produced a series of quirky, edgy musicals including VAMPIRE VIRGINS FROM VENUS and the long running GAYS OF OUR LIVES. Gary produced the Los Angeles hit musical REEFER MADNESS, which opened on Broadway in 2001 with Jimmy Nederlander at the helm. He directed Rain Pryor’s one-woman show FRIED CHICKEN & LATKES, which originated at The Lillian Theatre and went on to be presented at The Edinburgh Festival in Scotland. In 2004, Gary became co-founder and Artistic Director of The Hayworth, where he produced the critically acclaimed NOT A GENUINE BLACK MAN. He has recently obtained the rights to the movie classic REAR WINDOW to be produced at The Hayworth in preparation for a Broadway run. He is currently developing LOVELACE: THE MUSICAL which is now playing at the Hayworth.
DANNA HYAMS - Producer
Danna Hyams has been the Artistic Director of City Stage Theatre Company for the past fifteen years. As a founding member of the company since 1983, she has produced numerous productions, originally at their Downtown Los Angeles venue and at theatres throughout Los Angeles. Danna also co-founded the Inner City Art Center, creating projects written, directed and acted by the Homeless Community on Skid Row. She produced the critically acclaimed productions of NON-VITAL ORGANS written and performed by Gigi Bermingham and BECOMING CUBAN by Carlos Lacamara at The Hudson Theatre. In the fall of 2005, City Stage presented LIBERATION DAY and BETTER ANGELS at The Hayworth. Most recently, Danna produced Lacamara’s latest play, NOWHERE ON THE BORDER, along with Artistic Director Gary Blumsack on the main stage at The Hayworth, where they also presented the smash hit NOT A GENUINE BLACK MAN. She is thrilled to be working with Gary Blumsack as co-founder and Producing Director of this exciting new theatre center. They are currently developing LOVELACE: THE MUSICAL which in now playing at the Hayworth.
